2016 is almost over and 2v1 is celebrating by doing what they do best: playing a bunch of video games and determining if insects sneeze.
Alex plays in the dark in Outlast, leading to a discussion on current free-with-subscription games for Xbox and PS4 (Bastion, Invisible Inc., Lost Odyssey and Burnout Paradise). Nick finishes Furi which wraps up with a nice twist. Josh liked Batman: TellTale and is only fishing in Final Fantaxy XV.
The gang spends way more than 5 minutes on Let It Die. Again. And they also discuss Rainbow Six: Siege, Ratchet & Clank and Titanfall 2 (minor spoilers).

Let. It. DIE.
When does a series lose the sense of what makes it a series in the first place? The Resident Evil 7 demo comes to all platforms with an update...but is it really Resident Evil anymore? 2v1 thinks not.
Nick is enraptured by the next Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture joint: Let It Die - a free to play dungeon crawler (climber) with a ton of style and a skateboarding grim reaper. Alex picks up Saints Row 4: Gat Out of and meets Shakespeare in eternal torment. Josh loves Batman: A TellTale Series (of course) and dips his toes into the Real Game that is Final Fantasy XV.
Also discussed: Furi, Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain (spoilers kind of), Nintendo Switch on Jimmy Fallon and whether the retro resurgence is holding video games back.

2v1 celebrates its 100th episode. The boys are joined by their friend Cody "MrYody" on this momentous occasion of arbitrary number designations.
The 2016 Game Awards happened and spawn another argument about Hideo Kojima's next game that no one knows anything about, Death Stranding. Some awards are discussed but the most exciting news? Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay is revealed.
Cody shares his favorite games of the year along with a primer on World of Warcraft versus Destiny. Alex starts another TellTale Walking Dead game with Michonne. Nick and Josh talk more Dishonored 2.

2016 is coming to a close as 2v1 scrambles to wrap up their favorite games of the year.
Nick finished Uncharted 4 and really enjoyed it despite his lukewarm feelings on the prior trilogy. Josh pilots a disembodied head around a robot pleasure palace in Headlander. Alex is tired of Borderlands humor in the Pre Sequel.
Nick is still playing Pokemon Sun/Moon and falls in love with Flywrench. Josh starts Dishonored 2. No Man's Sky breaks the silence with an...interesting update.

Another week means another opportunity for 2v1 to argue about frivolous topics like game difficulty and which games present a worthy challenge.
Which sci-fi first person shooter has the best campaign this fall: Titanfall 2 or Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare? Alex takes BT-7274 for a spin and Nick is surprised to find Infinite Warfare an overall enjoyable experience.
Uncharted 4 continues to be thrilling for Nick while Josh scoffs at playing on easy mode. The holiday season is approaching and games are getting heavily discounted. Hearthstone raises its price. Thumper gets harder, better, faster and stronger. Pokemon is Pokemon but that's ok.

Old games are back in a big (small?) way with 2v1 and Nintendo is still on everyone's mind.
The NES Classic is hard to find but there's still plenty of life in Alex's SNES cartridges. The Switch is still surrounded by rumors and what, really, is the appeal of the Zelda series?
More information about Mass Effect: Andromeda has been revealed, giving 2v1 reason to discuss Mass Effect 3's multiplayer...again. Nick and Josh are still talking about Titanfall 2. Dark Souls is still the Best Game. Nick is confused in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Uncharted 4 makes a great first impression (without any gunplay!).

Fall 2016 is packed full of shooters and 2v1 is trying to make sense of them all.
Nick is let down by Gears of War 4's safe and similar entry to the series. Josh loves Titanfall 2 - which has a campaign (& gameplay) that is a stark contrast to the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Alex re-visits the Borderlands series with the Pre-Sequel.

The world has seen the Nintendo Switch but many questions still remain - questions that won't be answered until January 2017. Can Nintendo learn from its mistakes and rise again?
Bethesda announces they will no longer issue early release copies of games to reviewers. Dark Souls 3's first DLC Ashes of Ariandel is...good. Gwent makes the right changes but Josh doesn't like it. Titanfall 2 is better than everyone expected.
Also discussed: Civilization VI, Battlefield 1, Sparcade and Bloodborne

The Nintendo NX is revealed to be the Nintendo Switch: a home console/handheld hybrid with removable controllers.
2v1 discusses the potential for Nintendo's new experiment in video games and the potential of Red Dead Redemption 2 as a prequel/uneeded re-use of the word redemption.
Josh has parting thoughts on Gears of War 4 while Alex digs into multiplayer, Nick is still finding issues with Bloodborne but Thumper is amazing. Battlefield 1's (and other games') early access purchase bothers everyone.

Is it 2016...or 2006? Gears of War 4 is here and it's more of the same but still feels fresh (?), bringing back the Locust (but not actually the Locust) and robots.
Nick is enraptured with Thumper, a new rhythm-action game from ex-Harmonix devs, Drool. Gears is Gears, but now with some possibly-slimy business decisions attached (2016!). Josh & Nick have a wonderfully good time in Overcooked. Alex is still playing Resident Evil 4 but finally finishes Witcher 3. Spoilers for Witcher 3 at 1:12.00.
Also discussed: Overwatch's Halloween event, Super Mega Extra Baseball, Exploding Samsung phones and Steam Televisions.
