It's a jam-packed week with 2v1 as the Early 2017 Video Game Deluge continues to flow and Nick, Josh and Alex are joined once again by long-guest Cody.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a fascinating massively-multiplayer shooter survival game that gives Nick & Josh crippling anxiety. Everyone played the demo for Prey and found it to be lackluster. Josh begins Nier: Automata, Alex begins Little Nightmares, Nick begins to find issues in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The real world has interrupted 2v1's time for games this week though there's still plenty to discuss.
Nick & Josh are still plowing their way through Mass Effect: Andromeda's campaign but everyone suddenly lost interest in multiplayer, Nick gets started with Nier: Automata, Overwatch's new event, Uprising, is cool.
Card battlers are still relevant, Snipperclips is surprisingly fantastic, Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still compelling and the NES Classic is discontinued.

The Xbox Scorpio specs have been revealed, leaving many to ask "what do these numbers really mean?"
2v1 discusses the possibilities Scorpio may hold for Xbox's future, how it compares to PC hardware, and more. Drawn to Death is this month's Playstation Plus game and it is incredibly mediocre. Everyone is still trying to figure out how they feel about Mass Effect: Andromeda.

2v1 Guestcasts continue this week with friend of the show, Theo. There's much to discuss (complain about?) with Mass Effect: Andromeda. What exactly are the Angara? Why are the Kett so murderous? Who can take a patchy beard serious?
The new Dark Souls 3 DLC, the Ringed City, is intense. Zelda is really good. Destiny 2 got announced and Theo drops a non-bombshell about Final Fantasy XV's plot as compared to Interstellar.
Most importantly: Dr. Dre is confirmed to be an NPC in the world of Final Fantasy.

The big release this week, Mass Effect: Andromeda, is divisive among Alex, Nick & Josh. Is it okay for an established franchise to step so far backwards, technically, for the sake of being a new entry in a loved series?

2v1 welcomes back long-guest Cody to step in while Alex is away. Zelda: Breath of the Wild's appeal is difficult to describe but has Cody completely engaged and Nick covets Cody's Nintendo Switch.
The release of Mass Effect: Andromeda draws near. Nick & Josh take advantage of EA's early access to a complete game by signing up for EA Access/Origin Access in order to dip their toes into multiplayer and campaign. Nick completes Horizon: Zero Dawn and found it to be OK. Lawbreakers returns to beta and has Nick interested again.
